ORIGIN OF PERFUMES
The word PERFUME was derived from the word ''parfumare'' meaning,''through smoke''.
It can also be said to be as old as man.
Famous incense like kyphi,a very odourous mixture composed of the myrrh,matsic tree,bays of juniper,seed of fenugreek,pistachio and edible shoveler duck,the whole crushed and mixed with wine,a preparation cooked containing raisin and honey.
The archeologists discovered frescos representing the scenes of everyday life with the use of scented substances. They also discovered mud with alabaster perfumes which dated back to approximately 4000 before j.c.
